Lakewood

Living in Lakewood along the White Rock Lake, which happens to be one of Dallas' top neighborhoods, is a goal for many. Filled with green spaces and plenty of outdoor activities, like the Botanical Garden or the Dallas Arboretum, there’s always something fun to do. Outside of the beautiful gardens, there are also plenty of spring and summer concerts to enjoy. On the weekends, you can visit the local boutiques or head out in the evening to see live performances at one of the local bars, like the Balcony Club.

Lakewood homes range from sprawling estates to two-bedroom bungalows in a variety of architectural styles: Spanish, Tudor, French Eclectic and Colonial are among the most common. Newer homes in Lakewood embody different styles including Craftsman, French, Prairie, Mediterranean and more contemporary Mid-Century designs.

The Lakewood Shopping Plaza can’t be missed with its Art Deco steeple on top of the famous Lakewood Theater. In the center, you’ll find a diverse collection of shopping venues and eateries that actually serve as Lakewood’s town square.

Lakewood also offers residents annual festivities that foster a sense of community. The annual Christmas and Fourth of July parades are what Lakewood is known for, in addition to the breathtaking homes.
