Medical District

The Medical District is exactly what the name implies. This neighborhood is home to several top medical facilities, including Children’s Medical Center, Parkland Memorial Hospital and UT Southwestern Medical Center. It’s also home for a variety of businesses and restaurants. While there’s never a shortage of dining options for the locals who live in this area, it’s not uncommon for residents to venture to other areas of Dallas for even more unique dining options. One major perk of the Medical District is that it’s central hub with easy access to Uptown, Downtown and the Design District.

When it comes to getting around, the Medical Market train and Interstate 35E and Medical/Market Center train make traveling to other parts of the city easier. Housing options include upscale luxury high-rises, apartments and ranch-style homes, which only add to this area’s charm.

Most residents of the Medical District are medical professionals or med students who want to live close to where they work and attend school. The Medical District in Dallas is the perfect neighborhood for medical students and working professionals. With ongoing expansion, job availability and the close proximity to so many hotspots, it’s no surprise that it’s such a popular part of the city.
