Cherry Creek

Within the South Austin area is a gorgeous neighborhood called Cherry Creek, made up of a variety of housing sizes with many affordable options. A beautiful community with oak tree-lined streets mere seconds from Mopac, it is only 15 minutes from downtown with easy access to other highways.

The borders encompass Stassney Lane on the north end, and Slaughter Lane to the south. Residents of the area benefit from joining the local Cherry Creek Home Owner’s Association, which helps promote the aesthetic and livability of the neighborhood.

In the area locals have plenty of big box shopping destinations to choose from, with a nearby Costco, Whole Foods, and HEB Grocery. Considered a wonderful area for families and young professionals alike, there are many local parks and playgrounds as well as tennis courts and pools.

Longview Park covers about 20 acres and has lots of spots for picnics and a short hiking trail, along with the similarly stocked Dittmar Park. The Shops at Arbor Trails and Westgate Shopping Center have plenty of chain stores to keep shoppers busy.

Cherry Creek is served by the Austin Independent School District, well known for having many of the top-performing schools in the state. Families with students will delight in know that the Liberal Arts & Science Academy is the number one ranked high school in Texas, and one of the best in the country.
