萨凡纳

On the Georgia coast, Savannah is a charming Southern getaway packed with art, chic shops, and ghostly tales. Founded in 1733, it’s one of the first planned cities in the U.S., developed on a grid layout. Today, the 113.3 square-mile area is pedestrian-friendly, with flat streets and attractions close together. Its median age is 32.9 (2022). Employers range from aerospace manufacturers to specialty food and beverage to health tech companies.

Nicknamed the “Hostess City,” Savannah is one of the oldest cities in the country. Its residential architecture reflects history. In the Ardsley Park neighborhood, for example, there are homes in Tudor, Colonial, French Provincial, Classical Revival, and Mission Revival styles. The typical home value is $281,768, up 27.7% over the past year (Zillow, 2022). Savannah’s annual events are as varied as its architecture. There’s the Tybee Island Polar Plunge, the Savannah Book Festival, and the Savannah Pride Festival.

Savannah is served by interstate highways 16 and 516, and the Harry S. Truman Parkway. The parkway provides access to several neighborhoods, including Parkside, where Craftsman bungalows abound, and Windsor Forest and Magnolia Park, which feature Mid-Century Modern homes. I-16 serves the Victorian District, where Victorian homes take center stage.

Savannah is a beautiful place to visit, and to live in. Residents enjoy its coastal beaches, diverse neighborhoods, and relaxed lifestyle.
