Cleveland

Nestled along the southern shore of Lake Erie in northeastern Ohio is the city of Cleveland, stretching across 82.4 square miles. It was founded in 1796, and its median age today is 36.3 (2022). Healthcare, biomedical, manufacturing, financial services, and higher education are the primary drivers of its economy.

The city’s real-estate market includes bungalows, and homes in Victorian, English/Tudor Revival, French Chateau, and Prairie styles. The average price of a home here is $111,344, up 11.7% over the past year (Zillow, 2022). A variety of local events take place annually to stimulate just about every interest: the Cleveland National Air Show, the Ohio City Street Festival, and the Cleveland Garlic Festival.

Major thoroughfares serving Cleveland include I-71, I-77, and I-90. A safe neighborhood close to I-71 is Kamm’s Corner, in the west end. Restaurants, specialty shops, and grocery stores are all within walking distance to sleek Tudor and Craftsman-style homes. Ohio City, a portion of which straddles I-90, is one of Cleveland’s oldest neighborhoods. It’s a quieter area filled with single-family homes, duplexes, and large apartment complexes, as well as historic and trendy spots to explore. Further east, Buckeye Shaker is home to a diverse population that lives in diverse types of housing.

Cleveland has everything anyone could want in a city, including the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
