Benjamin James Foden was born and raised in Cheshire, England where he is renowned for his exploits on the Rugby field – even signing a professional contract at the age of just 18 years old.
Having signed for Sale Sharks straight out of school, Ben deferred his education at Manchester University to pursue his childhood ambition of professional sports. Winning the Challenge Cup and Sale's first ever Premiership title in five short seasons, Ben went on to play for Northampton Saints where he spent ten years before his testimonial year – when he was honored for his service to this famous club. During a glittering career – which saw him earn 34 international caps, Ben represented his country on the rugby pitch many times – most notably at the World Cup in New Zealand in 2011.
Having always wanted to experience the American dream, the opportunity finally arrived with the emergence of Major League Rugby (MLR) – a New York Franchise that headhunted Ben and convinced him to move across the pond where he helped the club win the MLR Shield Title in 2022.
Once retired, Ben quickly replaced the bright lights and crowded stadia for the busy streets and towering skyscrapers of New York's real estate market, but it was Jackie – Ben's wife – that made the introduction to Jonathan and his team. A seamless fit for all concerned, Ben is now a vital member of the Jonathan Stein Team – where his exceptional networking skills and rich network of personal contacts have helped expand the reach of this leading agent team.
Prior to Douglas Elliman, Ben was at Brown Harris Stevens for a short stint which he describes as “a thrilling baptism of fire” and today, as a key member of the Jonathan Stein Team, Ben relishes the opportunity to help clients realize their real estate ambitions in one of the best cities in the world.
