Pilsen (Lower West Side)

Pilsen is an exciting and welcoming part of Chicago—a large neighborhood made up of many residential zones. It’s a major neighborhood on the lower west side and home to a diverse community. It is close to the heart of Chicago, South Water Market, and the Schoenhofen Brewery District. Pilsen also includes the Pilsen Historic District, a vibrant heart of the community neighborhood.

This historic district lets people glimpse into the past to see the mark left by the Czech immigrants for over a hundred years. Much of Pilsen's demographic has evolved to have a diverse background of people, made up mostly of the Latin American population. Stepping into Pilsen, the vivid mural work of the street art scenes gives a splash of color to many buildings. The foodie scene allows one to indulge in indulgent tastes of authentic Mexican cuisine. About three miles away from the Chicago Loop and right by the Chicago River, Pilsen is an excellent example of Chicagoan vibrancy.

Its general borders span from West 16th Street at the north end, South Ashland Avenue to the west, Interstate 55 to the south, and the Dan Ryan Expressway to the east. Pilsen is a great and cost-friendly neighborhood, and that makes it an excellent choice for potential buyers.
