City Center

Located in the South Beach district of Miami Beach, City Center is a thriving, buzzing neighborhood that offers a wealth of options in terms of art galleries – such as Britto Central and Art Basel – and live music venues. One of these is, of course, the uber-famous The Fillmore, the iconic 1950s building that hosted some of the greatest music artists in the world. If you are less into music and more into history, then you can’t miss The Holocaust Memorial. This is an outdoor museum that is built around a stunning, giant sculpture of a hand, and is situated right next door to the Miami Beach Botanical Garden – a luscious haven showcasing the best of the local Floridian flora.

Fashionistas will love City Center, too: its many outdoor cafes and boutiques (particularly those along pedestrian Lincoln Road Mall) offer great opportunities to bag a bargain and get inspiration for home décor. If visiting City Center when on vacation is a fabulous way to explore Miami Beach, living there can be very expensive. Properties in this area – both for sale and for rent – are much more pricey compared to most parts of the country.
