Just north of Seattle between the Snohomish River and Port Gardner Bay in the state of Washington is the lively coastal city of Everett. It was established in 1890, and now covers 47.91 square miles. Technology, aerospace manufacturing, maritime activities, and the service industry are the main drivers of the city’s economy. Its median age is 35.9 (2022).

Throughout the year, residents can enjoy events such as the Cruzin’ to Colby classic car show, the Sorticulture garden festival, and the Fresh Paint art show.

Major thoroughfares serving Everett include I-5, U.S. Route 2, and State Routes 99, 526, 527, and 529. The South Forest Park neighborhood, west of I-5, features something for everyone: trails, an aquatic center, and petting zoo, as well as Ranch-style homes. Bayside, the most popular waterfront neighborhood in Everett, offers historic homes, from small cottages to mansions, but it also has many new builds. Northwest Everest, right along the east side of State Route 529, features a blend of modest historic homes and grand, modern architecture.

Everett is a great location for homebuyers looking for affordable homes in an otherwise expensive region. They’ll also get to enjoy plenty of history, culture, and natural beauty, as well as the nation’s largest public marina.
