Greenbriar

Greenbriar is a middle-class neighborhood of southwestern Atlanta stretching along the east side from Langford Parkway to just south of Stone Road. Residents describe their neighborhood as being clean, peaceful, well maintained, with easy access to freeways like GA-154 and I-285. Homes can range from $200,000 all the way to 20 acres of property being developed for over $1 million.

Much of the action can be found at the Greenbriar Mall, which has a variety of stores and restaurants. It sponsors Halloween costume contests and senior Bingo events, enticing eateries with Southern cooking and Philly cheesesteaks, and popular dessert shops like Red Velvet Mama and Great American Cookies to satisfy your sweet tooth.

To work off some of those delicious meals and desserts, Greenbriar is near many parks and playgrounds such as Ben Hill Park, a 13.66-acre community park with a recreation center, covered basketball court, two tennis courts, and one multipurpose baseball/football field. Tampa Park and the North Camp Creek Nature Preserve are alternative spots to hike the trails and get a look at the area’s local wildlife. The Areu Bros. Studios in Greenbriar are part of the fast-growing movie production and soundstages being established in Atlanta.
