Oak Cliff

Although Oak Cliff was previously considered an independent city, most of the area eventually became known as Oak Cliff, regardless of zoning. Now, there are two distinct subdivisions within the community: Oak Cliff and Kiestwood. Many of the 400 homes were built between 1950 and 1965. Kiestwood residents enjoy the 248-acre Kiest Park with lush, open spaces and trails. It’s also quite close to the Bishop Arts District, where dining, shopping and entertainment options are plentiful. It’s also close to North Oak Cliff, which also offers a vast array of shopping and dining options.

Kiestwood’s primary appeal is Kiest Park, a 248-acre public park with plenty of green, open spaces. It’s also close to the Bishop Arts District, in addition to entertainment, dining and shopping options in North Oak Cliff.

Originally, North Oak Cliff was designed to be one of Dallas’ most upscale communities. But as many middle-aged Dallasites left for the suburbs, it underwent a major revitalization. Now, this trendy neighborhood is the best of both worlds with vintage homes, exciting venues, bars, restaurants and shops, which makes even running errands something to look forward to.
