Riverside

When Riverside was first established, it was a streetcar stop along the River Line from 1892 to 1949. Today, this historical neighborhood is capturing a lot of attention. Why, you might ask? From 2012 and 2020, the average price of a home sold in Riverside has nearly quadrupled. Another advantage is that it shares the same school district as parts of west Buckhead including top schools such as Bolton Academy for elementary age students, Sutton for middle school kids, and North Atlanta High School. Riverside residents get access to Buckhead schools without paying high Buckhead prices.

Siting along the banks of the Chattahoochee River in northwest Atlanta, Riverside enjoys a variety of home architecture, from early 20th century renovated bungalows to new construction, Craftsman and traditional-style homes. As interest continues to grow for Riverside, new single-family and townhome communities are being added to the area.

Residents are tight-knit and protect their neighborhood of 1,318. An active neighborhood association coordinates social events and block captains are assigned to every part of the neighborhood. If you’re looking to meet neighbors, try grabbing a meal at Public House 28. Started by two local businessmen, it’s a dog-friendly, family-friendly spot. Outdoor activities are usually taking place at Spink Collins Park, a 21-acre park with lots of picnic tables, grills, a playground, and scenic walking trails along a heavily wooded lot with a stream.
