Far North Dallas

Far North Dallas is a quarter of Dallas, which extends northward of the Lyndon B. Freeway. Although it’s a very distinct area, it’s still considered part of North Dallas.

Homeowners who prefer a more suburban lifestyle with large yards and grand homes, yet still with the city, are drawn to Far North Dallas. This neighborhood also boosts easy access to dining and entertainment options in the district of Addison. There’s also a variety of ethnic dining options in Richardson as well. Far North Dallas is also home to the famous Galleria, one of the largest retail and entertainment hubs in Texas.

Far North may not have a lot of green spaces, but it’s home to some of Dallas’ premier country clubs, including Bent Tree, Prestonwood and Northwood. Residents can also enjoy ongoing family outdoor fun at Kiowa Park and Adventure Land. Here, you’ll find bumper boats, mini golf courses and go-karts, in addition to an arcade where you can show off your video games skills. There’s even a batting cage where little sluggers can practice their swing. Far North is the perfect blend of urban convenience with a down-home, family-friendly atmosphere. Bert Fields Park also offers plenty of rolling green space to enjoy a weekend of the walking trails.
