Pulaski Park was established in 1912 at the behest of commissioners to increase parks across the west side to alleviate cramped areas. Pulaski Park soon proved to be an attractive location for many. New facilities were constructed across the location. Residents saw new services provided to them and excellent public facilities they could now frequent. In 1919, a famous mural was painted at the Pulaski Park Field House by a student at the Art Institute of Chicago.
