Pecan Springs Springdale

A quaint and cute neighborhood with many longtime residents, Pecan Springs-Springdale is on the northeast end of Austin. It borders Hwy. 183 to the east and Manor Rd to the west. With a smaller population, residents can enjoy more peace and quiet than those living closer to downtown. Known for having a welcoming and friendly culture, here there may not be much for nightlife but there are plenty of things to keep residents occupied.

Pecan Springs-Springdale feels very removed from the hubbub, free of the hustle and bustle of city life. The area is very clean and homes are well-kept. A rather close-knit community, residents who settle in to the area love to call this slice of Austin home.

Early risers can enjoy their morning java from eclectic cafes like Streamway Coffee, a unique step-up food truck experience. Caffeine lovers can enjoy everything from espresso to specialty drip coffees that are as rare as the location’s aesthetic. Accompanying Mueller Lake Park is a gorgeous spot for a morning walk, afternoon picnic or bike ride. Nearby restaurants include Taqueria Mi Trailita and Torchy’s Tacos, both serving up authentic and delicious Tex-Mex cuisine.

Provided for by the Austin Independent School District, which also serves many of the surrounding areas. Resident students can attend the Liberal Arts & Science Academy, which is touted as one of the highest ranking schools in the state.
