Downtown Buffalo, which is accessible just off I-90, has plenty of high-rise apartments and townhomes populated by young professionals. The nearby family-friendly neighborhood of Allentown features 1800s mansions, brightly colored Victorian homes, large brick buildings, and Gothic Revival structures. Directly north is the vibrant and walkable Elmwood Village. It’s known for weekend farmer’s markets, and for its prime shopping and dining.

There is a sense of community in Buffalo. Residents are connected to one another by tree-lined streets, and traffic is less congested than in bigger urban regions.
