Arden is another town in Clark County. It is located seven miles southwest of Las Vegas. Arden is currently experiencing a rapid growth in housing and development, especially on formerly owned land by the Bureau of Land Management.
This area has a history with the railway dating all the way back to 1905, when the San Pedro, Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad initiated operations through the Arden area. The co-owner of this railroad also owned an estate called Arden, and this is the namesake of both the railway station and the Arden community.
Arden locals consider it a part of Blue Diamond, although it is actually a separate city. The Arden Neighborhood is in the top 8.6% most family-friendly areas in Nevada, and this can be attributed to its low crime rates, generous selection of schools, and friendly community atmosphere.
