From the Ivy League, Arts, and the Mayors Office to Real Estate. Joseph Ulam enjoyed an amazing journey before embarking on his career in real estate. Having grown up in a Real Estate family, the idea of home and community was his central value. Prior to becoming an agent on his own, he enjoyed working to give back to the communities that he served for many years. His transition into real estate was seamless. Joe ultimately chose Halstead Property because it was the firm that best exemplifies his own personal ideals; integrity, hard work, and dedication to providing superior service to clients. Joseph spent many years as a fund-raiser for Columbia University, where he served as Director of Annual Giving; in that capacity he devoted himself to working with University Alumni to ascertain gift levels and allocations that best served their particular interest. Other professional experience includes working with the Mayors office as manager of the Million Trees NYC initiative, and serving as Director of Sales and Marketing for several New York City art galleries. Similarly, Joe is aware that looking for a home can be an overwhelming prospect. He values his clients, and makes it his top priority to assist each person and find a home that best suits their needs. Joe grew up in Cambridge Massachusetts, and is an avid tennis player and film buff. Having moved to New York 24 years ago, he still finds it as thrilling and exciting as he did on his 1st day in the city. His passion for real estate was passed down from his Mother, who worked as an agent in the Boston area for many years. Joes Father taught history and political science at Harvard University, while serving as Director of the Russian Research Center. Joe holds a BA in history from Bard College, and currently resides in Brooklyn.
