After a successful career selling and marketing luxury chocolates for Godiva Chocolatiers, David began doing the same for luxury Manhattan apartments in 1994. Ranked consistently amongst the firm's top producers, David has sold throughout the city with a concentration on the Upper East and West Sides as well as Chelsea and Greenwich Village. Fueled by a love for the architectural beauty of yesteryear, and armed with a keen expertise in co-op board packages, David proudly specializes in distinctive prewar co-ops and 19th Century townhouses. He currently resides in a beautifully restored Art Deco building in Chelsea, after having lived in an Upper West Side brownstone for over 20 years. Among David's many distinguished sales was a Parish house sold for a West Village church. His largest sale was a 24-room apartment on Central Park West, and his smallest was a first-floor studio facing an air shaft. Perhaps his most unique sale was that of the top three tower floors of previously unlived in space in an Art Deco Riverside Drive co-op. And indeed his most challenging sale was a Bank Street townhouse with a tenant in place who accessed her apartment through the family's private quarters. Known for his integrity and professionalism, David enjoys a fine reputation among clients and brokers alike. Having represented some of the most sophisticated and demanding sellers and buyers, David's reference letters speak volumes to the quality of his work. In appreciation, one particular townhouse seller wrote: I can't thank you enough for the excellent service and salesmanship you provided during the sale of my mother's townhouse. From the onset, you approached the transaction with confidence, expertise, and the substantial resources of your firm. You worked tirelessly showing a steady stream of potential customers, and provided great suggestions for making the property more saleable based on their reactions. When you presented offers, they were invariably from well-qualified buyers. And during negotiations, you provided valuable advice and counsel so I would evaluate offers objectively, rather than emotionally. Without your input, I would surely have accepted less than we ultimately received. You went well beyond the call of duty, and I am indebted to you. As a result of your hard work and talent, we received an excellent price for the property. I was very fortunate to have worked with you. Outside of work, David is devoted to mentoring adults in need, with his proudest achievement being his assistance to a homeless woman in securing her own apartment. He is an avid reader of fiction and nonfiction, and a fan of independent and foreign films. Yoga retreats to Morocco, Mexico, Costa Rico and India have added to his love of travel.
