Prior to becoming a broker, as an account executive in building management with Brown Harris Stevens during the mid-1980s, he gained extensive knowledge of New York Citys buildings and the ins and outs of co-op boards. He became a broker after selling an apartment in a building he formerly managed. Before rejoining Brown Harris Stevens he had a long and successful association with Charles H. Greenthal. Prior to his work in building management, he spent many years as a teacher at St. John's Preparatory School. Among his many achievements, the Real Estate Board of New York honored Brian J.
