Following successful corporate careers in sales/marketing at Xerox and Canon, and running operations of the US AID sponsored venture fund, Lana joined the real estate industry to combine all her business skills and her love for New York City, real estate, sales/marketing. Lana brings almost a decade working in real estate – with successful experience in sales, leasing and property management.
Lana has worked with people of all backgrounds and various cultures and she is very committed to the various needs of her diverse clients, being it a seller who lives overseas; a first time home buyer just relocated to the US, an investor looking for a property with the maximum ROI; a renter looking for a great apartment at an affordable price, or an apartment owner who wants to sublet his property at the best price - she approaches her work with one ultimate goal in mind: to put the best interests of her customers/clients ahead of all else.
Intuitive, conscientious and detail-oriented, she "works smart" by immediately honing in on what her clientele wants to expedite the apartment hunting and/or deal making process. Her success is fueled by well-seasoned international business expertise, strong analytical ability, and her emotional intelligence, tenacity and keen interpersonal skills make her a very strong and effective negotiator and bring her happy clients awe-inspiring deals. In addition to her impeccable work ethics and commitment, Lana's association with Douglas Elliman provides her clients with unparalleled resources for every transaction.
Educated in Moscow, Russia, and New York City, she worked as an ESL teacher and translator before entering the business world. Lana served as Director of Operations for an international law firm in Moscow and for the Russian-American Enterprise Fund (sponsored by the US Government and USAID), handling everything from operations and personnel to logistics. After Lana moved to Manhattan with her family almost 25 years ago and prior to starting her journey in real estate, she had had a decade long successful career in corporate sales and marketing.
Lana considers herself a lifelong New Yorker, she enjoys traveling and making friends all over the world. Art, classical music, yoga, spiritual studies and anthropology, learning new languages – in addition to English and Russian she speaks French and Portuguese; scuba diving with her children and having fun playing tennis are some of her many interests. Lana owned a giant schnauzer and a brazen standard schnauzer in the past, and is thinking about adopting a miniature schnauzer this time.
