Susan is the consummate New Yorker, energetic, enthusiastic and ambitious. Having lived in Manhattan since the mid 1970's as both an owner and renter, on both the east and west side she has a good working knowledge of most areas of the city from downtown all the way up.
Both the real estate and financial markets have always fascinated her. She attended Barnard College and received her MBA in finance at Columbia Business School. After receiving her MBA she found success on Wall Street as a corporate bond trader and institutional fixed income salesman. The deal making capabilities she acquired there have strengthened her expertise in determining value and negotiation skills, facilitating her transition into real estate. She has been a top producer over the last 10 years at Douglas Elliman.
Real Estate investment has been an important part of her life over the last 25 years—both personal and professional. –owning 3 apartments in Manhattan, a house in Mantoloking, New Jersey and a restaurant business in that same town. She has an in depth knowledge of financing, board requirements , renovations and has worked through many fluctuations in the real estate and stock markets. She currently holds a New York Real Estate Broker license as well as one in New Jersey.
Susan's primary talent lies in her ability to build relationships. Referrals represent a major portion of her business. She thrives on meeting new people and is a good listener-an extremely important quality for her profession. For most people their home is their largest and most important asset. Making the process as enjoyable as possible helps alleviate some of the stress it inevitably entails.
In order to maintain a healthy attitude Susan has pursued talents outside the work field. Her passion has always been art. She loves to paint and had a solo exhibition at the National Arts Club in Gramercy Park a few years back.
