Michael has closed hundreds of sales and rental transactions since entering the business in 2007, often selling property for above closed sales comps. He also has a consistent history of taking over listings from other brokers and owners, revamping the marketing, and ultimately selling for higher than the original price.
One of Michael’s specialties is Corporate Relocation, including the United Nations. Michael enjoys helping people from around the world make seamless transitions to NYC life. Prior to joining Douglas Elliman, he served his community as Principle Broker and Founder of Michael Charles New York (MCNY) from 2010 to 2016. Michael grew the firm from the ground up and sold properties ranging from 400 SF studios, to the largest apartment built on one floor in the area, spanning 4400 SF.
Sales has always Been his forte. Michael began his career on Wall Street at age 17 and spent nine years working for small brokerage houses to big names like Citibank and JP Morgan Chase. He found his true calling in real estate, making a positive difference in people’s lives. Besides a winning attitude, Michael offers every client the honest guidance, open communication and thorough market education they deserve.
In off hours, he loves being an active father and a sports coach for his two boys who attend well-regarded schools in Gramercy and the Upper East Side.
