She also was proprietor of her own Atlanta-based construction company, creating a natural segue into the world of real state. Beginning her career as a high school English teacher and college professor instilled in her a desire to educate, which she still does with every client, and at Douglas Elliman where she trains and mentors new agents.
A graduate of St. John's University, Mary Anne holds a B.A. in English as well as a Master's in English and Education from Adelphi University. She is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), Association of Real Estate Women (AREW), National Organization for Italian-American Women, and the Columbus Citizens Foundation. Mary Anne was most recently honored as a Woman of Valor by the Capuchin Food Pantries for her work for the less fortunate of NYC, and recognized in November 2011 by NY1 as "New Yorker of the Week" for her annual coat drive. To date, with the loyalty of her clients, she has collected over 11,000 coats for those in need.
Mary Anne was additionally a featured speaker at the Master Sales Academy in Las Vegas, has served as a speaker on numerous real estate industry panels, spoken at private clubs, and appeared on television as a real estate trend expert.
