During his three decades as one of the leaders in Brooklyn's real estate revolution, Jerry Minsky has worked with buyers, sellers, investors, and developers across the borough. Recognized as one of the top producers in Brooklyn, he has consistently earned industry accolades and awards, and is often sought out by the media for his real estate expertise. One of his most notable achievements has been helping position downtown Brooklyn as a world-class living destination.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, Jerry earned his Bachelor's degree from Pace and a Masters from Baruch before starting his career as an educator. In 1989, he became interested in Brooklyn's magnificent historic architecture, then largely forgotten and neglected outside of a few districts. Purchasing a brownstone in Fort Greene, he began to read everything he could on the history of the borough, which further sparked his interest in real estate.
Convinced that the neighborhood's rejuvenation lay in the revitalization of Fort Greene's architecture and urban amenities, which included one of the largest transport hubs in the city and numerous cultural and educational institutions, Jerry began working for a small brokerage in Fort Greene. He then joined The Corcoran Group's Park Slope office in 1997, eventually spearheading the launch of Corcoran's Fort Greene office. In 2008 he joined Douglas Elliman, the largest brokerage in the New York Metropolitan area, and in 2018 formed the Minsky/Abrishami Team, now ranked among the top such sales teams in New York and nationwide.
