Joan C. Billick has been a real estate broker in New York City for thirty-seven+ years. During her notable career, she has come to be regarded as one of the most respected members of the Manhattan brokerage community and has been a steadfast presence in the industry. She is considered a broker's broker, someone to whom colleagues often turn for advice. Joan is thought of by her peers as one of the most knowledgeable and hard-working brokers in the business. Her career has spanned an array of different markets, from the down markets of recession to the white-hot markets of boom times. She has seen it all and can be trusted to guide her clients through both the best and the most challenging of market conditions.
A native New Yorker, Joan has two (2) Master of Science graduate degrees, in Education and Psychology. Prior to joining the real estate industry she had a very successful career in private education as a highly respected teacher and administrator. She became a real estate broker in 1987 and after three short years was not only a top producer but also the subject of a New York Magazine article featuring one of her more challenging transactions.
In 2023 Joan was honored to be awarded the Real Trends 2023 Top 1.5% Real Estate Professionals in America and the Douglas Elliman 2023 Pinnacle Award, Top 3% Nationwide. Joan has also been a top 20 honoree in 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020 and 2019. Additional awards include one of the top 20 NYC Sales and Rental Brokers in August 2021, April 2019 and November 2017. She is also the recipient of the prestigious Douglas Elliman Chairman's Circle Platinum Awards and Gold Awards. While at The Corcoran Group, Joan was a member of Corcoran's Multi-Million Dollar Club since 2002 and consistently ranked in the top two percent of NRT's 54,000 Sales Associates nationwide. Other notable achievements included placing among Corcoran Group Real Estate's top 25 Brokers in all Manhattan offices for the months of April 2012, August 2013 and November 2013.
