As a lifelong New Yorker, Phil has intimate familiarity with neighborhoods in Manhattan and Brooklyn, including detailed information about the local property market. He is well versed in local art and culture, amenities, and restaurants, which is extremely valuable to his clients. He always brings an elevated level of customer service to every customer, drawing on his empathy, responsiveness, and willingness to go above and beyond.
Phil's genuine passion for real estate is infectious, and he makes his clients feel excited and positive about their buying or selling process. He believes in providing accurate, timely information, a high level of professionalism, and open communication every step of the way so his customers feel confident and empowered to make the best decisions about their home.
Prior to real estate, Phil spent over 20 years in the NYC restaurant industry working in some of the city's greatest dining rooms including Jean-Georges, Le Bernardin, and Saga. He served in various capacities in the front of the house from captain to sommelier, wine director, service director, and general manager. Phil additionally has owned his own restaurant, Gloria, which he closed in 2019. He has a flair for impeccable service, a keen eye for design, a vast vendor network for renovation/architecture services, and the ability to identify potential investment properties, as he and his husband own two themselves.
Originally from Dobbs Ferry, NY in southern Westchester County, Phil attended Cornell University's College of Agriculture where he studied Applied Economics Management. Afterwards, he completed the Culinary Arts program at the Culinary Institute of America. Phil moved back to New York in 2005, lived in Battery Park City for 15 years, and now currently resides with his husband and two cats in beautiful Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. His interests outside of real estate include natural and classic wines, restaurants, travel, rock and electronic music, gardening, cooking, and interior design.
