Cincinnati is a city in southwestern Ohio, sitting on the hilly banks of the Ohio River across the state of Kentucky. It was settled in 1788, and has grown to encompass 79.6 square miles. Government, education, and wholesale and retail trade fuel its economy. Its median age is 32.4 (2022).

Cincinnati is served by interstate highways 71, 74, and 75, and U.S. Highways 22, 25, 27, 42, 50, 52, and 127. The neighborhood of Mount Adams, with access to I-71 and U.S. Highway 50, is known for unique housing built to accommodate the area’s steep hills. Further east is Mount Lookout, a beautiful, upscale neighborhood with historic single-family luxury houses, new condos, and apartments. The adjacent Hyde Park is a 15-minute drive from downtown, and offers families homes with large yards.


Cincinnati has ranked among the top 50 places to live in the U.S., while Liviability.com has described the city as “the crown jewel of the Midwest.”
