Nestled in a valley on the Zumbro River’s south fork in southeast Minnesota is the city of Rochester. Home to the renowned Mayo Clinic, Rochester is often called “Med City” as a result. The city was founded in 1854, and today covers 55.8 square miles and has a median age of 35.9 (2022). Further south in the heart of the city is Pine Hill, a historic neighborhood with beautiful old houses featuring exquisite brick, stone, and wooden exteriors.
