In the Northwest Quadrant of Washington, and bordered by Rock Creek Park to the north and west, K Street NW to the south, and New Hampshire Avenue NW and 23rd Street NW to the east, the West End is a historic Washington neighborhood.

Its name comes from the original geography of the area: the West End was, in fact, the westernmost part of the city of Washington before it got annexed to Georgetown.

The embassies of Qatar and Spain are located in this area, as well as the Delegation of the European Union to the United States, and several other international organizations.

The West End is also home to the George Washington University and the George Washington University Hospital, both situated in so-called Washington Circle.

Luxury hotels, upmarket condos, and fine dining restaurants characterize the vibe of the West End, with more exclusive housing continually being planned, developed, and built.

Thanks to its close proximity to areas like Foggy Bottom, Dupont Circle, Georgetown, and Downtown Washington, the West End is a buzzing, thriving, and popular area among both locals and tourists.
