Seattle

Seattle, a hilly city of 142.07 square miles on Puget Sound in the Pacific Northwest, is surrounded by the best nature has to offer: water, mountains, and evergreen forests. Its lush greenery has earned it the nickname “Emerald City.” Bounded by Lake Washington in the east and Puget Sound to the west, Seattle was incorporated as a city in 1869. It has a median age of 35.2 (2022) and serves as a gateway for trade with East Asia. Its economy is driven by established and newer technology companies, service, and design.

In terms of residential design, common home styles in Seattle are Victorian, Tudor, Foursquare, Craftsman, and Mid-Century Modern. The typical home value is $927,525, up 7.1% over the past year (Zillow, 2022). Fun always awaits here, in annual events such as the Seattle International Film Festival, the Seattle Boat Show, Seattle Restaurant Week, and much more.

I-5 and State Route 99 run through the city from north to south. The neighborhood of Belltown, just north of downtown and west of I-5, has some of Seattle’s best nightlife, as well as contemporary apartments and high-rise condos featuring views of Puget Sound. Beacon Hill, a charming and diverse neighborhood with quiet, residential streets, is further south. South Lake Union, west of I-5 and north of Pike Place Market, offers mostly condos and high-rise apartments close to downtown.

Seattle truly offers the best of nature and urban living.
