Biloxi is a Mississippi city on the Gulf of Mexico, or, as the locals like to think of it, a beach town without the congested tourist traffic. Retail, hospitality, and government are its main industries. The city was established in 1699. Today, it spans 67.7 square miles, and has a median age of 35.2 (2022).

The city’s real estate includes shotgun and Queen Anne-style homes, as well as the Biloxi cottage, which consists of four rooms and no hallways. Biloxi’s main highway is U.S. Highway 90 (Beach Boulevard), which runs along the beach. The east-west I-10 passes through the northern sections of the city, while I-110, and Mississippi Highways 15 and 67 run north-south in the area. U.S. Highway 90 serves the Ocean Springs neighborhood, where houses with front porches adorn tree-lined streets. Along Father Ryan Avenue, west of I-10, huge oak trees arch over streets that contain small, charming homes. Keesler Air Force Base lies just northeast of this area.

Biloxi has been described as a city where everyone is welcome to experience the taste of fresh seafood, stretches of white sand beach, cultural arts, and entertainment, all within minutes of a highway.
