Situated to the west of downtown Atlanta, West End is a vibrant residential neighborhood that offers a variety of historic homes and architecture, access to the Atlanta Beltline Trail, and a walkable and bike-friendly community. This neighborhood prides itself on its diverse group of residents and a strong sense of community and is just several miles away from the heart of downtown Atlanta.
The Westside Beltline Trail runs along the western border of this neighborhood, and the West End Transit Station is located on the eastern side of the neighborhood next to West Whitehall Street. Most of the dining and retail options are located along Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard, which runs east to west through the middle of the neighborhood with residential areas on either side.
West End offers a variety of home styles and historic architecture, including Victorian, Queen Anne, and Colonial Revival designs, many of which have been renovated and restored. Residents take advantage of porches, tree-lined streets and ample greenspace, and the community is home to colorful street art and murals along the Westside Beltline Trail.
The Lean Draft House is a local favorite, located just off the Beltline Trail and offering a bike-friendly atmosphere, outdoor patio seating, games, and local craft beers on tap. A variety of bars and restaurants are located along Peters Street, leading from West End into downtown Atlanta, and West End residents can easily get to and from the city center to take advantage of the many dining, shopping and entertainment options available there.
