A summit standing 560 feet above its surrounding areas, Lone Mountain is a single hill that is detached from the Red Rock National Conservation Area and became known as “Lone Mountain ''. Lone Mountain is a rocky butte that is positioned just northwest of central Las Vegas. It is the perfect spot to see wonderful views of the Spring Mountains, Mt. Charleston, and even the city of Las Vegas. As it is surrounded by a scenic trail, Lone Mountain is especially amazing for joggers, horseback riders, and hikers who want to see lovely views while they enjoy the outdoors.
Lone Mountain is situated just north of Summerlin, bordered to the west by the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, to the south by Cheyenne Avenue, and to the east by 95. Some of the most beautiful and desired homes are built in this area.
Featuring many recreational areas like Lone Mountain Discovery Park and Majestic Park, visitors and residents alike can enjoy hockey, tennis, basketball, and picnic areas, or try out the full-service softball facility with its 12 different playing fields.
