Lake Cliff is located in the Oak Cliff area. As one the Dallas’ oldest neighborhoods, dating back to the 1900s, the neighborhood has reinvented itself time and again. In the early 1900s, Lake Cliff was a central hub for all things entertainment, including Texas’ largest amusement park. The park was said to be more impressive than Coney Island with a 18,000-square-foot skating rink, water rides and a 2,500-seat theater. As Lake Cliff continued to evolve, so did its housing market and residents.
Residents from all walks of life live in Lake Cliff. From upscale homes to affordable apartments, Lake Cliff is also a renter’s paradise. It’s also the perfect place for nature lovers to enjoy a freshwater lake, rose garden and plenty of open, green spaces. Lake Cliff is also a family-friendly neighborhood with plenty of daycare and schooling options. There’s also plenty of restaurants to enjoy local fare. The small-town vibe is evident everywhere you go, and locals know you by name. It’s not uncommon to see multi-generational families still living here. Location wise, Lake Cliff is less than 10 minutes away from Downtown Dallas by car. While Lake Cliff may continue to reinvent itself, one thing remains the same: the ongoing feeling of community.
