Greenway Park has come a long way since its 1927 development. The traditional English Common cluster of homes evolved into serene boulevards with mature shade trees lining the streets. The picture-perfect atmosphere is why so many Dallasites live in Greenway. Homes that were previously built in the 1940s actually had the front doors facing the greenbelts instead of the streets. Many of those same homes exist today, although a large percentage have undergone restoration.
Some of the most popular architectural styles in Greenway Park are English Tudor, Spanish Colonial and Texas modern. Residents of Greenway are diverse, many with school-aged children. The schools in Greenway Park are rated A to A+ as well.
In terms of commuting, The Dallas North Tollway runs along the east, Mockingbird Lane to the west and University Boulevard to the north, all providing easy access to high-end boutiques and dining options. Some of the most popular eateries include Lovers Seafood Market, Jose, Shensei, Flower Child and City Cafe and Bistro.
When it comes to finding fun things to do, you can visit the Dallas Museum of Art, Perot Museum of Nature and Science, Crow Museum of Asian Art or the Frontiers of Flight Museum. Alternatively, nature lovers can soak up the sun on one of beautiful greenbelts at Lake Creek Park or Turtle Creek.
