Newark is a small city in Delaware known for its green spaces, trout-filled creek, and for being home to the University of Delaware. Welsh and Scots-Irish settlers founded the city in 1694. Today, it spans 9.4 square miles of straight and curvilinear streets. Its median age is 24.7 (2022). Sales, education, and administration are among the main drivers of its economy.
