Tom Broadbent has an eye for investment property. For over 26 years he has bought and sold properties, and has been a landlord, in Westport, CT. He is a two time winner of the Westport Historic District Commission's Historic Preservation Award. He, his wife Nancy, son Alex and daughter Emma have loved this town with its joys and quirks, as a place that has many things to offer everyone.
Tom has coached baseball, soccer and most of all lacrosse, where he created a B League for Westport Recreation to get all the B players off the bench and on the field where they could really learn the game. He was also an enthusiastic parent volunteer at Kings Highway and Greens Farms Elementary, and Bedford Middle Schools, with a focus on teaching drawing and cartooning.
In addition to being insatiably curious about Westport's wonderfully varied homes, he is a former professional singer/songwriter and cartoonist- he now uses his talents to amuse friends and neighbors. He and his wife love to garden, cook and entertain.
He studied English at and has an MBA in Marketing and Finance from UPenn, where he was head writer for the Wharton 'Follies". He also has a certificate in marketing from Tel Aviv University and has consulted in Egypt and Israel.
Additionally, Tom has a professional background in brand marketing, direct marketing and sales with P&G, Colgate-Palmolive and Unilever. At Ryan Partnership, he was a founder of the direct marketing division where he created strategies, promotions and direct response programs for a wide variety of blue chip clients, including Pillsbury/General Mills and Fresh Direct. He was also a VP for Safeway Supermarkets in a special innovation group that became Blackhawk Network.
